On the Silver Screen

Our Retro seamed nylons are a favourite of costume departments and are often purchased for period dramas. Oprah Winfrey wears our Retro Seamed Stockings in chocolate in her forthcoming move The Butler, and they've also been worn in TV dramas including The Hour, The Bletchley Circle and Miss Marple.

As well as traditional skintone shades and classic black we've taken the opportunity to have a little fun with our Retro nylons adding vibrant contrast seams and even polka dots. Polka dot seamed stockings were a favourite of 1950s pin up artist Gil Elvgren in his illustrations but I've never seen a real vintage pair of dotty stockings. Contrast seamed nylons, however, were made although they were extremely expensive and reserved for evening wear.
